Philadelphia Tax Prep for Artists

Philadelphia Tax Prep for Artists is a collective of artists and art lovers who also have a knack for numbers and a desire to help other artists. We know that doing tax returns can be a daunting thing, especially when you work multiple freelance jobs, have your own business, or just feel overwhelmed even thinking about taxes. We'll guide you through the process and take the burden of preparing accurate tax returns off your shoulders, while making sure that you get every deduction you're entitled to for the best possible tax outcome. So you do you, and we'll do your taxes.

We work with artists and freelancers across the country, but our base of operation is the culturally-rich city of sisterly love, Philadelphia. Although we work primarily with individual tax returns, some of us also prepare business returns for LLCs, S corps, and non-profits. We can prepare tax returns for every state in the country, and for the City of Philadelphia.

We are experienced tax preparers - not CPAs. As a collective, we are all self-employed, and we share expertise, resources, and a nerdy joy in doing this work.

She was co-founder and co-director of Headlong Dance Theater until she left in 2019 to pursue freelance work.  Amy trained everyone in this collective, and brought them together to serve artists and demystify/translate tax rules.  She has experience doing bookkeeping and financial management for small and medium sized businesses, and preparing corporate, non-profit and partnership returns, but prefers preparing returns for individuals and single-member LLCs.
